| Abstract |
The article focuses on the Japanese influence in Australian garden design which was noted to have existed since 19th century. According to the "Journal of Japanese Gardening," 25 public Japanese gardens were identified in Australia. Moreover, the article seeks to determine whether any authentic Japanese gardens have emerged in Australia before the 1980s. It was found that Japanese gardens gained popularity in Australia in the late 1950s. |
