Abstract

The article focuses on the important role played by nature in the Japanese culture. The appearance of Japanese gardens in Tokyo evokes a traditional Japanese sensibility. Mount Fuji was once deemed a god and prayers were made to it. It claims that less than 20 percent of Japanese believe in the existence of God.
